So 2012 is the year that world is going to end and all that stuff. It is also the Year of Water Dragon that apparently also echos the “End of the World” discussion; that this year is going to be a year of overflowing water, storms, heavy rain, and natural disasters.

Like the Mayans, this year is also seen as the year where the cycle restarts and renew itself. A year that the “wood” element end and the ‘fire’ element starts. So if the last two years have been real bad for you, wait until later this year, it could be good.

The Dragon is an important symbol of Chinese, a symbol of imperialism and power, and also a symbol of being Chinese – we are all being seen as the descendents of the Dragon.

If the world is going to end in 2012, (22 Dec apparently, just days before Christmas) we need to look at what we should do before the world ends. Spend all the money? Attack one another? Or love one another?

If the world is going to end, everyone is going to die, including you and I. Someone commented on the radio that perhaps people feel it is lot “fairer”, no one was picked specifically to die or to live.

If the world is going to end, perhaps we should end it on a good term. With love. And less hatred. We are all going to die anyway do we want to die misery? Don’t even worry about the materialistic stuff, because no one is going to bury you and those goodies are not going to the grave with you. And if you believe in afterlife, teh goodies maybe burnt into ashes when the world ends, and therefore you haven’t got much to bring with you to heaven or hell.

So when the world decide to end, we maybe flooded, fall into the gaps in the earth during earthquakes, we maybe washed up against tusnami, and we may we burn into ashes by some massive astroids that came into earth.

What is important is that we die happily anyway. Nothing could be more important than ensuring you lived an awesome life.

On a much happier note, the Year of Dragon is a year that presents opportunities, and the confidence that we can overcome any hurdles and challenges. No doubt we will be able to overcome the end of the world.
